Serving Teso Region Since 1968
Church of Uganda - Teso Dioceses Development Organisation (TEDDO) is a faith-based development agency established by the Church of Uganda. It has operated as the community development arm of Church of Uganda in Teso region, Eastern Uganda since 1968.
Over the years, TEDDO has grown from being just the development office of the Diocese of Soroti and Kumi, to now a faith-based development organization providing holistic, community-centred development interventions in Teso and neighbouring regions.
Guided by Christian principles of love, justice, stewardship, and service to humanity, TEDDO delivers practical initiatives that empower individuals, strengthen groups, conserve the environment, and build resilient communities.
Our Strategic Focus Areas
TEDDO's programs focus on addressing both immediate needs and long-term development priorities. Our core thematic areas include:
Climate Change Adaptation and Agroecology
We aim to increase adoption of climate-smart agricultural/agroecological technologies and practices.
Environment and natural resource management
TEDDO focuses on strengthening local capacity for sustainable environment and natural resource management
Promotion of Nutrition among children and women of child-bearing age
The focus is on improvement of Household Nutrition and Dietary Diversity
Advocacy for equitable public service delivery
TEDDO will work with communities to ensure that local governance institutions demonstrate improved accountability, transparency, and responsiveness.
Gender and social justice
Our focus is on making sure that Gender-responsive and socially inclusive norms, policies, and practices are strengthened.
