This programme empowers communities in Teso to actively participate in decision-making, promote gender equality, and uphold the rights and dignity of all, especially women, youth, and marginalized groups. The programme focuses on addressing structural inequalities while fostering inclusion, accountability, and social cohesion.
TEDDO strengthens local governance by working with community structures to enhance transparency, civic participation, and accountability, enabling citizens to engage in development processes and advocate for their rights.
The programme also advances women’s empowerment by promoting equal access to resources, leadership, and decision-making, while addressing harmful social norms and gender-based violence.
Through community dialogues, legal awareness, and advocacy, it promotes human rights and social justice, ensuring protection and inclusion of vulnerable groups.
